Interior Security Procedures: Corrections Training
Interior Security Procedures

Conducting proper security inspections inside a corrections institution is vital in preventing escapes, controlling contraband, and maintaining the safety and security of the entire facility. This program outlines interior inspection procedures and prompts officers to ask themselves if they are performing their own security inspections at a high standard. Besides being instructed to be alert for health and fire hazards, procedures covered in the program include: regular and complete bar taps on cells; window checks; examining locks, keys and cell block mechanisms; checking cell ceilings, walls and doors and examining electrical fixtures, battery-operated devices, storage and public use areas.
